!Eliza Patten, as recorded in the family Bible of Nancy Patten, mother of
Nathaniel, was originally thought to be the sister of Nathaniel Patten, the
editior. According to HISTORY OF HOWARD AND CHARITON COUNTIES, P. 824, Eliza
was the daughter of John P. Williams, and the second wife of Nathaniel Patten.
Nathaniel did have one son born 1835.

Mar Rec of Mo widow Eliza A. Holeman 27 Feb1831 md Nathaniel
Patten after the death of his wife Matilda in 1830. She was the
widow of Dr. Holeman. Suspect there may have been other children, noneare
mentioned in the obituary of . Eliza was living in St. Charles County, 1847
and wrote shortly after birth of son John H. Overall.
Eliza md Dr. Holman,widow of Dr. John, no record of children,
but he must have died shortly afterthey were married. Note: Eliza submitted
to LDS church as Eliza Patten, andwas submitted for sealing as sister to
Nathaniel Patten, Jr. This is wrong but we are recording baptism and endowment
here.
1850 Census St. Charles Co.,Mo. p. 36 living with Wilson Overall and son
Nathaniel. Nathaniel listed as "Overall". Eliza ae 45.
