He was the youngest son of Edward Howell, but was allowed by hiseldest brother John the homestead and after occupying it till about1698 sold it and moved to Cape May Co., NJ. He was called on the townrecords the son-in-law of Thomas Sayre in a deed in which he andThomas Sayre each give one half of the land needed for a new street,now called Job's lane or Academy lane, so he must have married adaughter of this Thomas Sayre. She died no great length of time afterthe marriage and appears to have left no children. (History ofSouthampton)
He must have d. shortly after his 3rd marriage, as the Book ofRecords, Cape May Co., has the following -- Jan. 19, 1697, letters ofadministration were granted to Edmund Howell, executor for hisdeceased father, Edmond Howell. (Descendants of Edward Howell...)
