All of Cornelis and Ots- Toch's children were born and raised in theMohawk village at Canajoharie.Jacques/Akes went on to live inSchenectady but escaped the massacre there in Feb. 1690 only to die afew months later of pneumonia.
Jacques and his two sisters were well-known interpreters for thestate of NY, as was their father, Cornelis.
