AFFIDAVIT. |

STATE OF IOWA, Jefferson County--SS:
I, J.D. Howell of said Co. aged (left blank) years [d]o solemnly
swear that I am acquainted with John Howell and (blank) who are parties
for the marriage of whom a LICENSE is applied [f]or; that said John Howell is of
the age of 20 years and upwards, of sound [con]tracting mind mind (sic), and
unmarried; that said (sic) I am the father of said John Howell
and is of the age (sic) hereby [g]ive my consent that license
be issue to him.
_________________years and upwards, of
sound contracting mind, and unmarried, (sic) and that there is no legal
impediment to said parties [e]ntering the marriage state, to the best of my
knowledge, information and belief.
