Date: 19^th December 1807

Know all men by these presents that we Calvenn Howell & Stephen Rudey are held and firmly bound unto William H Cabell Esq Goveneor of this Commonwealth of Virginia for the time being and his Successers in the Sum of One hundred and fifty Dollars for the payment there of will and truly to be made we bid our Heires Executors and Administrators Jointly Severally [?] firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this 19^th day of December 1807.

The condition of this obligation is such that whereas the above bound Calvenn Howell hath this day obtained a Licence for his marrage with Barbery Roudey of this County Now if there Shall not hereafter apear any Lawful cause to obstruct the Sd. [said] marrage then this Obligation to be void else to remain in full fource and vertue
